This license allows you to flash our performance upgrade to your vehicle using the Diesel+ app. In addition, the app offers the possibility to perform diagnostic functions (read/clear fault memory) and to record real-time data from the vehicle and observe it live via CarPlay (not available for every model).

The specified performance values were achieved and validated with our development vehicles.

To use the app with your Alpina/BMW/Mini, you need either our Diesel+ Wireless Adapter (recommended) or any ENET interface/cable. Vehicles with a 3rd generation 8HP automatic transmission absolutely require the Diesel+ Wireless Adapter to flash the transmission.

If your vehicle has an automatic transmission installed, we always offer the appropriate transmission software for it. If you have a manual transmission, you save a few euros on the purchase.

The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number, German "FIN") is a unique 17-character code. You'll usually find it in your vehicle registration document, etched at the bottom of the windscreen, or on a plate in the driver's side door jamb. Providing it is optional and helps us check whether the product is compatible with your vehicle. We recommend it — but if you don't have it handy, that's no problem.

The engine

The BMW B47 engine is a modern 2.0-liter inline-four diesel engine and belongs to the latest generation of efficient BMW diesel power units. It was developed as the successor to the N47 and combines high efficiency with powerful performance delivery and improved refinement.

Depending on the version, the B47 engine features one or two turbochargers, which ensure spontaneous response and high torque even at low RPMs. This allows the engine to offer confident yet economical performance both in everyday use and on long journeys.

Particularly noteworthy are the extensive technical optimizations compared to its predecessor engine. Improvements in injection technology, combustion process, exhaust gas aftertreatment, thermal management, and friction reduction ensure lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions, and increased reliability.

Thanks to its robust design and modern engine control, the B47 engine is excellently suited for tuning and performance upgrades. Especially through targeted software optimizations, noticeable performance gains can be achieved without negatively impacting everyday usability or durability.
